Double Exposure Project:: "My Sunshine"

Here is my double exposure project. I combined a picture of a rainbow with a picture of my darling little Ella. I used the "overlay" function in PhotoShop to create the double exposure. It is titled "My Sunshine" because that's exactly what she is! :)

  1. What a beautiful double exposure. You are taking some of the neatest shots. I've been looking for a rainbow. Glad you found one. Ella is precious! You should be a proud mom, perfect title - "My Sunshine".

  2. Hey Chrissy, You did a great job with the layering in this double exposure project. The tones of both pictures are so close that your edges are invisible to the viewers. Ella's eyes were the first spot my eyes traveled while viewing the photograph. Good Job Chrissy!

    This image has great possibilities. It looks good as it is, but I have to ask did you try and cut out the background from the baby? You can place the rainbow as the background layer and then the baby as a second layer. Then either select the baby or start erasing around the baby to get rid of the surrounding image. In Photoshop, you can set the size of the "feather" which will leave a little bit of blur where you've erased. By doing it this way, both the rainbow and the baby will be sharp and colorful.
    Do you remember the one we did in class that first saturday? Here's mine. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/XBGL7UZUSKdb5yZlJSudkg?feat=directlink
    I worked maybe another 30 minutes on it after I got home. If you're interested, I'd be glad to explain further.
